6 COATS TO CONJURE UP AUTUMN WEATHER

Sources tell me it’s snowing in Jackson Hole today… meanwhile, in Texas, it is an unseasonable 94 degrees, but that hasn’t stopped Dallasites from embracing fall to its fullest… the pumpkin pile at Trader Joe’s was so buzzy this morning that it felt more like a New York City sample sale than a Preston Hollow gourd grab. Surely with enough pumpkin spice and Hocus Pocus re-runs, it’s possible to conjure coat season, is it not? At least that must be what we all seem to be thinking.
On the heels of returning from Jackson Hole, I’ve been doing a little bit of shopping in anticipation of the cooler temps that seem to so suddenly catch me unprepared. I tried on this feather-weight down one from Herno, which is currently topping my list. Tuckernuck’s fall sale is also happening, so while you shop, it may also be the time to pounce on a classic like this Beadnell Barbour or Quilted Barbour. At Moda Operandi, I’m loving this cozy plush faux fur from Apparis. And you can’t go wrong with this timeless shawl-collared camel coat that will never go out of style.
Conjure along with me… I think it’s getting cooler in here already!
